My best mate got married!! To Jules!! Again….because there used to be some stupid law back in the day that meant marriage could only be between a man and woman. Great for me as I got to attend two weddings for Jules and Reid and now I legally have two best mates. I couldn’t be happier for them and I got to take a few cheeky pictures at their ceremony in Melbourne.
Meeting author Gregory Smith was a highlight of covering the Byron Writers Festival. His book Out of the Forest tells of his time living in isolation in the forest for nearly ten years in northern NSW and his violent and difficult life. Gregory is such a gentle soul, it is hard to imagine the life he has lived.
